Whimsical Watercolors

The Bunny and a Cardinal: A Whimsical Watercolor

I have a wild bunny that visits my back yard regularly. The other day, she was by my flower garden and a cardinal was perched on one of flower stems.

This morning I decided to paint the scene, which looked a little like this. I am continually amazed at the gifts that nature brings us: gifts of humor, beauty, sacred silence, light, and health. What gifts has nature given you lately?

P.S. Love is Stronger has a new and updated look. Check it out! 1. I loved seeing this picture first thing this morning. I was feeling a little sorry for myself because I have to fast before getting routine blood work done this morning, but your art and your story made me smile and I let it all go! Thanks!

    1. I am so glad it brought you joy, Friend! I got a lot of joy painting it, so I am so happy it brought someone else joy, too. I am so sorry you have to fast and get blood work :(. That sounds really unpleasant.

  2. You are so talented and your paintings always bring a smile. You should do a children’s book and even an adult inspiration book. My idea, so I get to buy the first one. ?

    1. Rhapsody, this is so wonderful that you mentioned this because this is EXACTLY what I want to do: an inspiration book for grown ups. Your comment confirms something I have long been thinking of. Thank you! And thank you for being my first hypothetical customer. I have a question for you (you can choose to answer or not). Which of the following grown up inspiration book titles appeals most to you? How to Use Your Imagination Like a Boss; When You’re Feeling Sad; How to Go on a Wonder Adventure

      1. Perfect and I’m already sooo excited about this. I would love to give feedback on the title and explain my choice. Both are great titles but I love the second one How to go on a wonder adventure. When we need inspiration and a little pick me up, it is usually because something is sad inside of us, something is missing, we are hurt and need a little magic. What better way to find that then on a wonder adventure. Adventures leave us in a different state and in a way our imagination sweeps us away to different heights, heights above the misery. The world needs more magic and your drawings are so beautiful and whimsical, they encourage to partake in the wonder of adventure in the wonder of magic. I hope this all makes sense and helps.
What a wonderful idea, I’m so excited for you and that first book is mine ?
